Why training & education is important?

Mental health awareness training at work is beneficial for both employees and employers.

Main reasons for this:

Reduces stigma
Training can help reduce the stigma around mental health issues and encourage open dialogue.

Improves recognition

Training can help employees and managers recognize mental health conditions and warning signs in themselves and others.

Encourages early intervention
Training can help employees intervene early to aid recovery.

Improves employee well-being
Training can help employees nurture their well-being, manage stress, and cultivate healthier relationships.

Benefits employers
Training can lead to more engaged and motivated staff, lower absenteeism, increased productivity, and improved employer reputation.

Reduces legal risk
Training can help organizations comply with health and safety and disability law, which can reduce the risk of unfair dismissal claims.
